This is the second part about my life in 4th semester in Microbiology, part 1 is here, in case you want to read about it
On March, the academic life and laboratory works got more and more intense, so I didn’t do many special activities besides assistance and studying. But I did afund raising activity daily, by selling foods and drinks. The fund raising is for a next year events, which are Excurtion and Fermenstation, I’ll cover that later.
On 27th March was ARCHAEA’s first birthday! 🙂 We got present from HIMATIKA (Mathematics Student Association)
On March was also my friend, Carol, 17th birthday. My friend Nael who had crush on her arrage a special surprise for her and it succeeded nicely. After the surprise, they become so close until now, how romantic!^^
I’m happy for you guys! I hope you two can be a wife and husband in the future and live happily ever after. For now, build the relationship with Jesus Christ, let Him be your consultant and guide 🙂
It’s April! On April, everyone was very busy. I and the second year microbiology friends were doing two researches/PenCil. We almost dominated the lab and even our base (Himpunan) became our bedroom during our research because the works need full time commitment with consistent methods, so we have to stay in the campus until we finished. I’ll write more about it on my next post.
The third year microbiology students were also super busy, they have two intense laboratory works, much more intense than ours’. Generally, it was about standardizing fermentation products using all methods we have learned in Microbiology. The result of their products would be publish to a workshop and bazaar called Fermenstation. I and my friends also help the preparation of Fermenstation, so we know more or less what they’re doing during this semester. In my opinion, their works was so tiring but so fascinating! I’m looking forward to prepared our own Fermenstation next year^^
Several foods sold on Fermenstation
At the end of the month we had field trip to Pangandaran for the Ecology and Evolution of Microbe lecture. It was really fun and unforgettable moments! We saw different side of Pangandaran, the natural undisturbed nature with fresh air and deers, and macacas (monkeys), and we visit the shore, sea (of course), rivers, caves, forest, waterhole, swamps, estuary, and grassfield, pretty much exploring the sanctuary in the region actually. These are some photos I took there 🙂
I’m consider to become assistant for this lecture, because the fieldtrip was fun, but let’s see the condition next year, whether it’s available or not 🙂
Time flies and before I knew it, it is May! It’s the last month of this semester! There aren’t much things to write in this month, because we spent most of the time studying for the final tests. I hope I get good grades, though. On 26th of May, my sister Ani turned 17th, and my friends Mayvin turned 20th! I haven’t got any photos of Ani’s birthday because she’s just celebrating it today with her classmates (3/06/2014) but I got a few photos taken when we suprised May on her birthday 😀
Overall, that was all I can write about my experience in my 4th semester. The academic experience will be publish soon. Stay tuned! 🙂
With smile 😀 and hugs!
